The Butler
The Butler
The versatile everyday work knife.
CUSTOM LASER ENGRAVING — $20
Want to personalize your Butler? Custom text engraving is available.
To add engraving: scroll to the bottom of this page and select Custom Laser Text Engraving BEFORE adding your knife to the cart.
Named in honor of Medal of Honor recipient Smedley Butler, The Butler was designed for those who want a compact knife that can handle far more than its size suggests.
Built as an everyday carry and utility blade, The Butler offers the perfect balance between portability, durability, and performance. The 3" blade is handcrafted from tough 80CrV2 high-carbon steel, providing the edge retention, toughness, and ease of sharpening needed for daily tasks and outdoor use.
At 6" overall, The Butler is compact enough to carry comfortably while still offering a confident grip and capable cutting performance. The .125" thick blade keeps the knife lightweight and agile while maintaining the strength expected from a Buttonhook Forge tool.
Whether you're opening packages, cutting cordage, working around camp, preparing food, or handling everyday tasks, The Butler is built to be the knife you reach for again and again.
Each Butler comes with a custom-fit Kydex sheath with a belt loop, providing secure carry and keeping the blade protected and ready whenever you need it.
Every Buttonhook Forge knife is handcrafted one at a time in my Illinois shop, built with purpose and finished by hand.
