Named in honor of Medal of Honor recipient Dan Daly, The Daly was designed around a simple idea: a knife should be capable enough to handle real work while remaining compact enough to carry every day.
With a 2.5" cutting edge and a slim profile, The Daly carries comfortably without sacrificing performance. Built from tough, reliable O1 tool steel, this compact blade delivers the durability, edge retention, and ease of sharpening expected from a hard-working everyday tool.
The compact handle features a three-finger grip with an integrated finger choil, providing excellent control and confidence despite its small footprint. Whether you're sharpening a stick around camp, opening packages, cutting cordage, or handling everyday tasks, The Daly is designed to be a dependable companion.
At .150" thick, The Daly offers the perfect balance between strength and portability. It is lightweight enough for everyday carry while still built with the ruggedness expected from a Buttonhook Forge knife.
Each Daly comes with a custom-fit Kydex sheath, handmade in my shop for secure retention and dependable protection. The sheath is designed to keep your blade safe and ready, while allowing you to customize your preferred carry setup with the attachment option that best fits your needs.
The Daly is also the knife I personally carry every day—a reflection of what I believe an EDC knife should be: simple, reliable, and ready whenever you need it.
Each knife is handcrafted one at a time in my Illinois shop, built with purpose and finished by hand.

Care
O1 is a high-carbon tool steel and is not stainless. To keep your Daly performing at its best, hand wash only, dry thoroughly after use, and apply a light coat of oil before storage.
With proper care, O1 develops a natural patina that reflects the life and use of the tool.
